Hendrick Chevrolet Cadillac joins hands with Habitat for Humanity to help Haiti earthquake victims

A donation made for a worthy cause fetched a brand new car to a lucky person.

Hendrick Chevrolet Cadillac, a leading Chevrolet and Cadillac dealership near Charlotte, NC, donated a 2010 Chevrolet car for a raffle to help Union County Habitat for Humanity to build several homes in Haiti and one in Marshville for the victims of the earthquake.

Following a call to get involved with the community, Hendrick Chevrolet Cadillac sprung into action and gave away a new car to the Habitat for Humanity as the top prize. The Habitat for Humanity sold raffle tickets for $25 each and five for $100. The tickets were also sold at the Hendrick Chevrolet Cadillac’s sprawling showroom from January 28, 2010. The sale of tickets started briskly and continued through June 26.

Habitat for Humanity has built 2,000 homes in Haiti since 1982 and Hendrick Chevrolet Cadillac is proud to join hands with it for this worthy cause. The Habitat for Humanity aimed to raise $100,000 with the raffle, with $50,000 going toward a house in Marshville, $25,000 building 25 emergency shelters and $25,000 building four earthquake-proof homes in Haiti.
